Welcome to the Brahman Foundation

Welcome to the Brahman Foundation. The Brahman Foundation was established in 2015 by Carlos Guerra and is a 501 ©3 Organization. Carlos, a big supporter of any and all junior programs in The Valley thought it was time to start an organization to help the AJBA members. He called on 5 fellow breeders to donate heifers which were auctioned off along with other Brahman genetics in the form of semen, embryos, and flushes plus some other lots consisting of hunts and weekend stays and the rest is history. It is led by volunteers that are dedicated to the future of the American Brahman Breed. The Foundation gives support to programs that aid in the development of youth through education, leadership, scholarships, showmanship, carcass merit, and breed research. The support for these programs requires money and dedicated breeders along with several other vested supporters of youth programs and cattle help fund our program. To date our Scholarship pay-out is $115,000 with funds raised through our Funding the Future online sale held every year in December. Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported it to date! Other support is shown at the state and national level giving support to the AJBA and the junior programs in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Florida, Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama. We also give additional support in the Showmanship and to the contest participants at the All American. One thing we have had an overwhelming response to is our Summer Leadership Camp which is held in July at a hosting College and is free to the kids that are given a seat. We have been fortunate to have four colleges with great Ag Departments host our Leadership Camps: Texas A&M, Mississippi State, McNeese State University, and Texas A&M Kingsville. Our camps bring in speakers from all aspects of the Agricultural Industry along with some Leadership instruction and tours of nearby ranches ending with a night of fun. The ABBA has a great group of juniors along with parents dedicated to seeing that their children are prepared to be successful in the Ag Industry. This is what motivates us to help anyway we can. Help us support the American Brahman by joining us in the development of tomorrow’s leaders and breeders.
